Freedom Road to play CHIEFS 15th Anniversary

A mini-tour for young people’s band Freedom Road begins this Sunday with a benefit gig for Hull cystic fibrosis charity.

Local young people’s band Freedom Road are beginning a mini-tour this Sunday, kicking off with a gig at the Charleston Club in Hull in aid of CHIEFS (Cystics of Hull Independent Equipment and Support Group), to celebrate their 15th Anniversary.

With a new CD on the horizon, Freedom Road will be playing 3 dates between now and Christmas in including a Music 4U event at The Lamp on 9th November along with local band, and the Celebrate Success event for The Princes Trust at Aspire in Leeds on 12th November.

The Charleston Club event, which begins at 7pm on Sunday 25th October, will include all the usual disco, raffle, tombola, as well as a free buffet, karaoke, and Freedom Road, who are expected to be performing about 8pm. All money raised goes to CHIEFS who, in the words of Leanne Stephenson, the organiser: “provide kids and adults of Hull with cystic fibrosis, the support and ‘the little extras’ needed to enhance their lives”.

Ian Bolton, Project Manager of Freedom Road Creative Arts, believes this is an excellent opportunity for the young people: “We, as a charity, have had a lot of support from the people of Hull this year, and all the young people involved agreed that doing this gig would be a great way of supporting a very worthy charity, as well as a really good introduction back into performing live.”

Tickets for the CHIEFS 15th Anniversary at The Charleston Club are £5.00 each.
They can be bought on the door or reserved by calling:

Leanne Stephenson on 01482 701 551.
