New Year and a New Group

2011 has seen a new group immerge for FRCA. Working in partnership with RAPP and Hull City Council's SKIP Project (Supporting Kids In Play) FRCA have secured funding through the Aiming Higher Fund to pilot an initial 10 week Project, which will see the group meet up on a Wednesday evening from 5pm till 6.45pm at The Clubhouse on Garden Village.

The aim is to help engage the young people who access the SKIP Project in drama and performance workshops that are facilitated by FRCA's Iain Thompson and Lisa Billany. The project is also being supported by FRCA's two Youth Work apprentices Jess Hunter and Chelsea Eslor, and staff from the SKIP project.

Set up for an intial 10 weeks, after which a short performance and film will be produced, it is hoped that further funding will be secured that will enable FRCA to continue running the group as we aim to further develop the work of the Charity. FRCA now provides free workshops that run early evenings Monday to Friday and on a Saturday morning to around 60 young people a week.
