Autumn 2019 Update

With a hectic summer firmly behind us, which had included facilitating the regular youth stages at Humber St Sesh, Tribfest, Freedom Fringe Festival and the brilliant summer school sandwiched somewhere in between, we embarked on an Autumn Half-term full of yet more exciting opportunities for young people.

First off was a gig at the new Humber Street Hub and which was part of Creative Voices’ #thisiswhoiam festival.

Ruby Lowthorpe, Lucy Musgrave, Nicole Fewster, Emily Cook and her band, plus Kaynem, Highway to Hull and resident DJ Aiden were the artists who provided an inspiring evening.

On the Friday we took the Collective to the Hull Fostering Celebration Event with the aim of promoting FRCA to carers and young people and how they can get involved.

And finally the week for us, concluded with a music workshop aimed at bringing youth groups across the city together to further develop the “This is Who I Am” track which was being used as the backdrop to this years festival #thisiswhoiam.

(“This is Who I Am” is a song written and initially recorded by local band DarkShadow and the outcome will be released on social media sites so please listen out for it).

So what’s next?

To conclude 2019 it will be as ever a Panto and this years it’s Jack and the Beanstalk. Can’t wait to see this year’s Dan-Dame!!!

Look out for details.
