Welcome 2023!
Weekly sessions are back on and thriving with new tutors and staff.
The Tuesday Dance group, facilitated by Èva and Shekinah, take place on a Tuesday evening at the Albermarle 6pm until 7pm. The group performed at Bridlington Spa in December 22 and have a whole host of performances planned for 2023.
Our music provision is thriving with Vocal, Guitar, Bass Guitar and Drums/Percussion taking place on Tuesday and Wednesdays again at the Albermarle. These facilitated by Molly, Ben and Simon respectively.
A new series of the Podcast Corner project entitled “Stranded Songs” is facilitated by Owen Killey and includes young people taking about 2 songs that inspire them plus a bit of banter. These are aired on West Hull Radio FM on a Wednesday evening.
The new “Home” for FRCA which is situated in the Prospect Centre has given us a space to create a social environment in which young people can meet and it is the venue in which the Podcasts are recorded. It is also used for band rehearsals.
In store this year includes the Let’s Rock event at Brid Spa, the Creative Dance Competition at Hull New Theatre in February and of course several music festivals are on the Calendar; Humber Street Sesh, Tribfest and more.
With funding from organisations such as Creative Voice and Healthy Hull Holidays we will also be facilitating half-term projects throughout the year.For more information please get in touch.
