FRCA first Summer School a massive success.

The first Freedom Road Creative Arts Summer School was a massive success with around 30 young people producing some cracking performances.

The Circus Skills workshops were introduced by Ring Master Caine and performances in juggling, clowning, plate spinning and even unicycling had the audience on the edge of their seats.

Following this the Drama Group performed a short play that they had written over the week and this was followed by a fantastic dance routine performed by young people who had done nothing like it before. As Kyle from Scunthorpe said, "I had never done anything like this before and can't believe what i have achieved".

The final performance of the night was from the song writing group who performed their own song entitled "I Don't Like You", and a cover of Will Young's Evergreen to finish the night off in style.

As well as all of this the group began to develop a pledge for young people in care, and this will be carried on with the views of other young people over the next few weeks, so watch this space!!!!
