Young People showcase their talents

During the half term break FRCA staged a showcase event that enabled all the young people to perform their "Work in Progress", and to show the parents and carers who came along, the depth of talent that exists within the work of the charity.

.

The evening started with some short scenes from Bugsy Malone, which the Thursday group are working on, and strong performances from Ben, Mark, Emily and Jack will hopefully inspire the rest of the cast to reach their potential and put on a full show in late July.

Talented duo Sammy and Rose then performed 2 numbers, before the Saturday Gleeks, accompanied by Rich on keyboards, had the audience singing along with their well rehearsed versions of "Don't Stop Believing" and "Imagine".

Freedom Road followed, taking to the stage to perform "Ego" and the Back Street Boys classic "As Long As You Love Me", demonstrating their growing confidence with dance routines and a new look. Superb solo performances from the bands' Jess and Sammy rounded off their set.

The Little Drama group as always stole the show, as they performed 4 short dualogues bringing the loudest applause from those who came along to support the evening. Well done to Mollie, Katie, Mitch, Emily, Mitch, Kiera and Liam.

All the groups continue to run on a weekly basis and if you want to get involved get in touch!
